An important segment in the Festival is the FIPRESCI Talent Campus: This is a parallel event designed to utilize the ambience, resource and coming together of cine professionals as well as creative talents, old and new. The Campus will be an intensive week-long academy with creative professionals from diverse fields of the film industry as speakers and moderators. A number of guests from the festival's programme sections will also be invited to discuss their work so that there is an organic link between the Campus and the DIFF.

Eligible are young film critics or journalists:
— who are fluent in English (writing and speaking)
— who are under 30 years
— who are eager to report on films within the framework of the Dhaka International Film Festival and on events held during the       FIPRESCI Talent Campus 2008 
— who have published articles in newspapers, film magazines, on websites or at universities
