2ND DHAKA CINE WORKSHOP

During the festival International Film Critics Association-IFCAB is going to organize the 2nd Dhaka Cine Workshop 2010 from January 16th to 21st for aspiring young filmmakers, film critics and journalists.

This is a parallel event designed to utilize the ambiance, resource and coming together of cine professionals as well as creative talents, old and new. The Workshop will be an intensive week-long academy with creative professionals from diverse fields of the film industry as speakers and moderators. A number of guests from the festival's programme sections will also be invited to discuss their work so that there is an organic link between the Workshop and the DIFF. Many of the Workshop lectures and discussions are intended for the public. Each day's programme will consist of four interactive 90-minute workshops, each session involving a presentation or discussion by one or more guest speakers.

Eligible for participation in the Cine Workshop is young film critics or journalists -

• who are fluent in English (writing and speaking)
• who are under 30 years
• who are eager to report on films within the framework of the Dhaka International Film Festival and on events held during the Dhaka Cine Workshop 2010
• who have published articles in newspapers, film magazines, on websites etc.
• Registration fee: TK 5,000.00
• But those of the participants successful in making 3-5 minutes of films by using mobile phone camera on CLIMATE CHANGES would have the facility of free registration. We hope through this effort of ours we would be able to encourage young talented future filmmakers.

Total number of participants for the Workshop will be restricted to 25-30. Please apply with your CV along with two copy passport size photograph by 20th December 2009.
